New Millennium Administration Reports for the Central Catalog

November 2005

We have some new reports for the central catalog. I've been playing around with them, and here's what I've found so far:

Field Reports

You can create reports of record counts by

Country

Language

Material Type (video, A-V, etc.)

Bib Level (monograph, serial)

Location (by Innopac system)

Scat Table areas (by records and "copies")

You can also run a report by Bcode 3 (suppression/contribution) code value. That is probably not that helpful for collection development.

Periodic Reports

You can run a report by Cat Date, Created Date, or Update Date. Unfortunately, these designations are meaningless in an Inn-Reach system, so we will not be using them.

Cross Tabulations

You can run cross-tabulations on any two fields. Probably the most useful one is a cross tabulation of location by SCAT table.

Location and SCAT table cross tabulation by number of records

Location and SCAT table cross tabulation by number of "copies." In an Inn-Reach system, "copies" correponds to institutional records or holding libraries, not truly to number of copies contributed.
