This document describes the cataloging of e-journals, e-books, digital videos, and other electronic resources available to OhioLINK member libraries as consortial resources. The process:

We create original cataloging for resources that are loaded at OhioLINK, because these items have unique URL's. These include:

Local Load

Libraries that want to load these records to their local catalogs can get files of MARC records from the OhioLINK FTP site. Files of MARC Records available. The list begins on November 30, 2007; there are many other files available, but this list does not go back retrospectively. For information about FTP access or earlier files of MARC records, contact Meg Spernoga, meg@ohiolink.edu.

Records are also available in the OCLC Save File for two weeks. For information about logging into the OH1 Save File, contact Meg. If you use records from Save, remember to re-save them.

If you do add these records to your local catalog, you can also contribute holdings to the Central Catalog in most cases.

Do not contribute holdings for the following collections. These records do not have OCLC numbers, so contributing to Central will cause duplicate records:
